Rob is currently a Firefighter with the North Charleston Fire Department assigned to an Engine Company and member of the departments Marine Division.
Prior to joining the North Charleston Fire Department Rob retired from the military after 21 years combined service between the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Marine Corps. He served for 13 years in the United States Coast Guard where he attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer as a Boatswain’s Mate. During his time in the Coast Guard Rob held various roles and positions as Officer in Charge, Executive Officer, Federal Law enforcement officer, CISM facilitator, Sexual Assault Victim Advocate, and shipboard firefighting trainer.
Prior to the United States Coast Guard, Rob served for 8 years in the United States Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Sergeant in the Infantry. During this time Rob served 2 tours in Iraq, once during the invasion and again in 2004, as an Infantry Squad Leader. Additionally, Rob held positions as a Non-Lethal weapons Instructor, Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor Trainer, and Security Forces Specialist.
