Principle Consultant.
Chris has served over 22 years with the Bluffton Township Fire District where he is currently assigned as the Captain of the rescue company. Previous officer assignments include over 9 years on the truck company and over 2 years on the busiest engine company. He is also a recruit school cadre member and teaches numerous in-house programs. Chris began his career as an EMT in the Metro Boston area, where he also volunteered as a firefighter. He believes in leaving the fire service better than it was when he got here and that providing exceptional training for future generations is one of the best ways to accomplish that goal.
Chris has also been a South Carolina State Fire Academy instructor for over 18 years. He teaches many courses in various disciplines and has also contributed to the revision of the academy’s Support Company Operations curriculum.
Chris has authored articles for Fire Engineering and Firehouse magazines. He has presented at National conferences including FDIC (Indianapolis) and FireRescue East (Daytona) where he has taught hands-on classes in truck company operations, rope rescue and forcible entry.
Chris is received his Master’s Degree in Education from Northeaster University where he also received his an undergraduate degree in arts & sciences. He is currently a degree candidate for a Doctor of Education with a concentration in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Leadership.
